Conceptual Illustration
I used to freelance full time for national clients. Below is a small sampling of images I did during that period. If you'd like to see more of this style you can view a larger collection of my images at

Experience working in this conceptual style has proven valuable at times in my career when doing work such as conceptual icons and logos.

Disney Concept Artist
While I worked for Disney Fall Line
Studio in Salt Lake, my job title was concept artist…which meant I got to draw and paint all day!
Sometimes pieces were taken to full color, but often they were just concept sketches of characters or objects that might be used within a level. Here are some examples. It was always fun to change styles depending on what was needed.

Children's Book and Educational Illustration
At K12 as a visual
designer, I did a lot of different work in all sorts of styles. Some of the work I enjoyed most
was illustrating for younger learners. I worked mostly in Photoshop, Illustrator, and Flash. Some pieces were done for print, while others were used in interactive online assets. Here are some examples.
I always enjoy the illustration work, but my job at K12 also called for some design work and flash built assets that required animation and other skills that I was able to learn while there. I think I may have made every kind of graph imaginable. Here are some examples of simple B&W illustrations used for white board animation, and other examples of different styles of work I did there.
If you made it this far, thank you for looking through a small selection of images I have produced over the years. I do have many more examples. If you would like a more focused body of work, or more of a certain style that you didn't see here, please let me know. I will be happy to put together a custom portfolio of pieces that may help show other skills. Thanks again for taking the time to browse through these few samples.
